Overview.
Batch Organics wanted to create a product that cut through the noise of a crowded health food market. Their ready-to-blend smoothie kits and breakfast bowls are all plant-based, delivered frozen to ensure the highest quality end product to their customers.

The challenge.
Batch Organics approached Product Chain to increase their presence in the out-of-home market. They had several national listings under their belt already, but didn’t have the time or resources needed to meet their ambitious growth aspirations. With a strong competitor already in place, they needed support.
- Secure more end users
- Increase wholesaler listings
- Become category leader
Our approach.
With several end user listings already established, we knew that there was room within this sector for a product like Batch Organics. Product Chain set to work, utilising our contacts within coffee shop chains. Our team focused on the points of difference versus the competition, setting them apart from the busy market they were in. With so many fantastic USPs, such as their versatility, quality and taste, our final goal was to ensure we got products into buyers’ hands.
Strong relationships.
The Product Chain team prioritised customers who we have existing relationships with, enabling us to understand their needs and position Batch’s offer accordingly. From there, it was a matter of hitting the phones, pushing for F2F meetings, and ensuring that the products were sampled during those meetings.
New routes to market.
The Product Chain team knew that the key was unlocking more wholesalers. This would enable Batch Organics to have an expanded reach for their end users. To achieve this, we worked with our contacts in the coffee shop industry, and within three months, we had created two new routes to market: Esquires Coffee and Notes Coffee.
